Small Business Portrait Session

Small Business

The first time I met Morgan she fixed me dinner. No big deal really, isn’t that what we women do? The husbands were having a birthday, boys night out and the ladies were going to stay in. As we enjoyed the best chicken chili pot pie I’d ever tasted, Morgan shared her love of feeding people. Then she casually mentioned she had just launched her new business Honey B Thyme, a personal chef and meal planning business located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She creates delectable meals in your home, to enhance your dinner experience! Using fresh, unique, and personally tested worry-free meals. What!!!?? That’s amazing! My first thought…Time for a small business portrait session!

When I hear about a military spouse who has stepped into role of entrepreneur to create something amazing I can’t help but get excited!

When I arrived at Morgan’s home the house smelled amazing. Everything had it’s place and the kitchen felt warm and welcoming. Before we sat down to dinner she treated us to the tastiest mocktail (you know a cocktail without the alcohol). Seriously, no one missed the alcohol, it was fabulous! She shared how last year she set a goal of fixing 365 different dinners! I’m lucky to get 7 different dinners in a week! As Morgan plated our food she smiled, laughed and made each of us feel right at home. Her decision to start a personal chef business suited her perfectly. As a military spouse we can find it difficult to develop our own careers due to how frequent we have to move for our service members career. So when I hear about a military spouse who has stepped into role of entrepreneur to create something amazing I can’t help but get excited!

Morgan, I’m so excited to watch your business grow as you share your passion with others! Thank you for inspiring me to pick up a copy of Southern Living and cook my way through it as you did. More importantly thank you for offering a service to help busy families enjoy good quality, healthy foods even when life’s hectic pace doesn’t always allow for home cooking. I’m looking forward to your next delicious creation!
