Christmas Mini Sessions

Portraits

It’s that time of year! Time for Christmas cards!  In my world that means it’s picture time! The weather outside was getting chilly, those beautiful winter storm clouds were moving in, as long as it didn’t rain the day would be perfect for Christmas mini sessions. Everything was planned and ready to go! There was a cozy blanket to cuddle on and some simple decorations to add a touch of Christmas magic.  I even had a little surprise ready, some hot chocolate for my families to enjoy at the end of each session. It’s more than just a portrait session for me I want it to be about the experience of spending time with family and capturing some images that will give others a peek at the joy they share.

“Let us focus on “being present” with our family and friends.”

Christmas, for me, is about family! Making sure we are taking the time to slow down and enjoy the moments. What can you do to enjoy the moments more this Christmas? For me that means I may have to put the camera down and participate in the moments. For you it might mean ignoring frozen fingers and toes as you make snow angles with your kids. Sometimes we get lost focusing on buying and giving presents. Or stressing over having a clean house while guest visit. Instead, let us focus on “being present” with our family and friends this holiday season!

Karine & Justin, Shannon & Aaron, Terri & Joey, Thank you all so much for allowing me the honor of taking your family’s Christmas portraits! I truly had the best time with each of your families. I loved the challenge of chasing shy ones hoping for that perfect smile. Or making sure the tweens were having fun, while sneaking in a few shots of just mom & dad. Then there was the fun of capturing little ones who had the energy we parents wish we had. I truly enjoyed every moment. Wishing you the very best this Christmas season and many more blessings to come in the New Year!
