Historic Downtown Manassas Vintage Inspired Family Photo Session

Family Sessions, Portraits

When you hear the word “Vintage” what comes to mind? I think it might be different for everyone based on their age. For me the word vintage brings images of World War II soldiers and pin-up girls to mind. That era, though I’m sure it was an extremely stressful and difficult time in our world, always seemed so romantic to me. War is not romantic but that always seems how it’s portrayed in the movies, music and photos from that time. The women were always well dressed and classy. While the men were their handsome heros. So when Stephanie messaged me about her plans for a vintage inspired family session in historic downtown Manassas I couldn’t have been more excited!!

They captured the attention of every passerby.

After a month or so of searching Pinterest for vintage inspired clothing and photos, the day arrived for our session. I couldn’t wait to see what The Muckey Family had put together for their session. Downtown Manassas was packed! There was some sort of Fall Festival going on! Oh boy this ought to be fun! I enjoyed watching the people walk by as I waited for Stephanie & Tim. Even though they did not plan it, they definitely made a grand entrance. Eyes swiveled in their direction from all around. Stephanie in her beautiful floral dress, Tim in his always good looking Marine Alphas (classic look) and their girls in the best looking dresses and fascinators I’ve seen. They captured the attention of every passerby and I knew we were going to have an amazing time! And so we did! We even had a train show up in time for a grand finale photo finish!

Stephanie & Tim, thank you so much for choosing me again to be your family photographer. I just love your family and the obvious love you all share. Y’all have a wonderful spirit of adventure and truly seem to live life to the fullest! I could have hung out and taken photos of your beautiful family all night.
