It’s gonna be a great year!
The leaves have changed. The weather is cooler and that means busy season for portraits. My absolute favorite sessions are with my Seniors. There is just something awesome about Fall senior portraits. It’s the beginning of their last year of high school and excitement levels are high. Which make for perfect photography energy and amazing portraits. I love this time of year. I can wear my boots, a comfy pair of jeans and not melt in the Virginia humidity. It’s also a perfect time for portraits. The color changes in Virginia aren’t as majestic as New England but we definitely have our own unique Fall beauty here. When Kathryn said she wanted Fall leave for her senior portraits I was excited and ready!

We got some rain a few days before Kathryn’s session and I was worried the leaves would all fall. But we lucked out and there were plenty of beautiful leaves left for our day together. We decided to visit the Chancellorsville Battlefield. The roads are empty the trees are plentiful and it was a perfect place to take photos and play with her beautiful pup. We talked about school, work and life in general. She rocked three amazing Fall looks but I think seeing her in that green sweater was my favorite. We played in the leaves, laughed a lot and had a marvelous time!
Kathryn you’re amazing! I’m so glad I’ve had to change to know you! You seem to know what you want in life and aren’t afraid to take charge and chase those dreams. Wishing you the best of luck for the remainder of your senior year and can’t wait to see you in the Spring before you cross that stage!
